Come home to Ireland for Christmas

The SWANS BAR X HUH Christmas Giveaway offers one lucky winner the chance to come home to Ireland for Christmas: a return economy flight to Dublin Airport, with a total prize allowance of up to €2,500. If the flights cost less than €2,500, the remaining balance is given to the winner in cash to spend in Ireland over the Christmas period.

You can enter for yourself, or nominate a family member, friend or loved one living abroad who deserves the chance to come home for Christmas.

How to Enter

  1. Create and post a video on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok explaining why you, or the person you are nominating, should win the giveaway.

  2. Tag both organisers in your video: @swansbarcurragha and @huh_clothing.

  3. Comment on the official giveaway post to let the organisers know you have entered.

  4. Like and reshare the official giveaway post.

  5. Set your social media profile to public so the organisers can view and verify your entry.

  6. Keep your entry video and relevant posts publicly visible until the winner is announced on 22 November.

Terms & Conditions

1. The Prize

The SWANS BAR X HUH Christmas Giveaway offers one lucky winner the chance to come home to Ireland for Christmas.

The prize has a maximum total value of €2,500 and includes:

  • One return flight for one person to Dublin Airport.

  • Economy-class travel only.

  • A maximum total prize allowance of €2,500.

If the cost of the winner’s eligible return economy-class flights is less than €2,500, the remaining balance will be given to the winner in cash to spend in Ireland over the Christmas period. For example, if the flights cost €1,800, the winner will receive the remaining €700 in cash.

The total value of the prize, including flights and any cash balance, will not exceed €2,500. Any flight costs exceeding €2,500 will only be covered up to the maximum allowance, and the winner will be responsible for any excess.

If the winner has already booked their return flights to Dublin Airport, they may be reimbursed for eligible flight costs up to the maximum prize allowance, subject to the provision of valid booking confirmations and proof of payment. Where the eligible flight costs are below €2,500, the remaining balance will be provided in cash as outlined above.

The prize is limited to one person and one return trip to Dublin Airport. Any additional travel expenses not expressly included in the prize will be the winner’s responsibility.

2. Competition Organisers

This competition is organised by Swans Bar Curragha, County Meath, and HUH Clothing Ltd. (together, the “Organisers”).

3. Eligibility and Entry Limits

This competition is intended for Irish people living abroad who would love the opportunity to come home to Ireland for Christmas.

Entrants must be at least 18 years old. The person entering or being nominated must be an Irish person living abroad and must be able to accept and use the prize in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.

You may enter whether or not you have already booked your flights home.

You may enter the competition for yourself or nominate a family member, friend or loved one whom you believe deserves the chance to come home for Christmas.

If entering on behalf of another person, you must have their permission to submit their story and video. The nominated person must meet the eligibility requirements and agree to accept the prize if selected as the winner.

A maximum of one entry per person is permitted.

No purchase is necessary to enter. Participants are responsible for any standard internet or mobile data charges incurred when submitting their entries.

4. How to Enter

To enter the SWANS BAR X HUH Christmas Giveaway, participants must complete all of the following steps:

  • Create and post a video on Facebook, Instagram or TikTok explaining why you, or the person you are nominating, should win the giveaway.

  • Tag both organisers in your video using the following accounts: @swansbarcurragha and @huh_clothing.

  • Comment on the official giveaway post to let the organisers know you have entered.

  • Like and reshare the official giveaway post.

  • Set your social media profile to public so the organisers can view and verify your entry.

  • Keep your entry video and relevant posts publicly visible until the winner is announced on 22 November.

Entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm on 15 November 2026 to be eligible. Entries that do not meet the requirements may be deemed invalid.

5. Video Prompt

In your video, please tell us:

  • Your name.

  • Where in the world you are currently living.

  • Why you, or the person you are nominating, should win this competition.

6. Entry Deadline and Winner Announcement

The competition will close to new entries at 11:59 pm on 15 November 2026.

The winner will be announced on 22 November 2026 through the official social media channels of Swans Bar and HUH Clothing.

All entry videos and relevant posts must remain publicly accessible until the winner is announced. The Organisers reserve the right to verify entries and confirm that all competition requirements have been met.

The winner will be contacted by direct message using the social media account associated with their entry. The winner must respond within 7 days of being contacted.

If the winner does not respond within this period, declines the prize or is found to be ineligible, the Organisers may select an alternative winner using the same judging criteria.

Subject to applicable law and the winner’s privacy rights, the Organisers will publish or make available on request the winner’s name and county of residence. No unnecessary personal or contact details will be published.

7. Winner Selection and Judging Criteria

There will be one winner.

Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

  • The strength and authenticity of the story.

  • The personal significance of returning home for Christmas.

  • The emotional impact of the entry.

The winner will be selected by a judging panel. The panel will assess eligible entries against the stated criteria and select the entry it considers most deserving of the prize. The selection will not be made solely by random draw.

The Organisers reserve the right to verify entries before confirming the winner.

8. Prize Acceptance and Travel Arrangements

The prize must be accepted and used in accordance with the arrangements agreed with the Organisers.

The winner must confirm their travel requirements within 7 days of accepting the prize and provide any information reasonably required to arrange the flights or reimbursement.

Flights will be subject to availability, airline terms and conditions and applicable travel requirements.

If the winner cannot travel, declines the prize or fails to provide the information reasonably required to arrange the flights, the Organisers may offer the prize to an alternative winner.

The prize is intended for the eligible entrant or nominated person identified in the winning entry and may not be transferred to another person without the Organisers’ written agreement.

The maximum total prize value, including eligible return economy-class flights and any cash balance, is €2,500. Where the eligible flight costs are below €2,500, the remaining balance will be provided in cash for the winner to spend in Ireland over Christmas.

Where the winner has already booked their flights, reimbursement will be subject to verification of eligible costs and agreement with the Organisers regarding the reimbursement process.

9. Copyright and Use of Entry Videos

Entrants retain ownership of the copyright in their submitted videos.

By entering, participants grant the Organisers permission to repost and share their entry videos on the Organisers’ social media stories and channels, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok, for the purposes of promoting the giveaway and sharing participants’ stories.

All submitted entry videos may be reposted and shared on the Organisers’ social media stories and channels. By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge and agree to this use.

Any additional editing or promotional use beyond reposting and sharing the submitted entry will be subject to appropriate permission.

Entrants must ensure they have permission from anyone featured in their video for its submission and the agreed use of that content. Where an entry is submitted on behalf of another person, the entrant must have that person’s permission for the video to be submitted and shared as described above.

10. Privacy Notice

The Organisers will use personal information submitted as part of the competition to administer entries, assess eligibility, judge the competition, contact the winner, arrange the prize and carry out the publicity described in these Terms & Conditions.

Participants should avoid including sensitive personal information in their videos.

11. Tax

The winner is responsible for determining and meeting any personal tax obligations arising from the receipt of the prize, where applicable.

The Organisers recommend that the winner obtain independent tax advice if required.

12. General Conditions

By entering the SWANS BAR X HUH Christmas Giveaway, participants confirm that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify entries that are fraudulent, misleading, incomplete or do not comply with the competition rules.

The Organisers also reserve the right to amend, suspend or cancel the competition where circumstances beyond their reasonable control make this necessary, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any rights that participants have under applicable consumer protection law.

13. Social Media Disclaimer

This competition is organised by Swans Bar Curragha and HUH Clothing Ltd. It is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or TikTok.

By entering, participants acknowledge that their entry is submitted to the Organisers and not to the social media platforms on which they post.

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their entries comply with the relevant platform’s terms and community guidelines.

14. Acceptance of Terms

By participating in the SWANS BAR X HUH Christmas Giveaway, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
